Affordable bidirectional OBD2 tool?
Alright, so my OBD2 software is read only and I'm currently getting a fan sensor code. From what I've read I need to test it by sending commands to the fan through a bidirectional scanner. I don't really have the cash to shell out for tuning software right now, so can y'all recommend an affordable bidirectional scanner or scanner software? Just doing a google search turns up options, but I'd like to hear what y'all recommend.

I don't recall seeing this capability on the scan-only
tools I've had, but that could just be age related. I
make use of this capability in the HPTuners I use now.
What affordable means, isn't for me to say. But since
I was fixing to buy tuning software anyhow, it was
kind of a useful freebie.
Now since the scanner is where these controls reside,
and scanning isn't license-locked, borrowing is an
option.
