Th350 with PCM

Th350 with PCM I have a L59 5.3 still running EFI from a 2002 Tahoe in a 73 Nova. When I bought the engine, the guys flashed the PCM for the TH350 non electronic tranny and removed the wires in the harness that went to the old 4L60e.
Would I use something such as HP Tuner to flash the PCM and essentially flip that switch, for lack of the correct terminology, back on if I wanted to go back to the 4L60e?
What keywords should I be searching for when trying to find this type of information related to the PCM controlling an electronic tranny versus cutting that logic off to coexist with a non electronic tranny?
I'm just trying to understand what they did to make it work and what the process would be to undo what they did.
