efilive question Hi,
I am doing ac cobra 427 ls1.
A friend is selling efi live v2 flashscan but no vins left
I have ecu schwanke 12200411, 12201281 on it pcm 1310
if I bought efilive from him what are chances my pcm is locked etc?
also how many vins would I need to buy. Engine is currently no oxygen sensors or knock etc
I would just want to edit the current tune at the moment for gears tyres etc

If i try to read it and it is locked, then would that use up a Vin license?
Sorry for newb questions but dont want to purchase 2nd hand efi live and a vin
and not be able to read/alter the pcm....I might as well just send it away to be altered at great cost..
Anyone altered a schwanke pcm tune??

EFILIVE V2 and NGK wideband Hi,
OK, got efi live V2 and intend on getting wideband for it

I have tuned a couple vehicles that had tunes from schwanke and the pcm's were not locked.
Any wideband kit should work. However if the unit has Serial output is going to be the best signal. As it is accurate with no 0-5 volt scaling needed.
As for ecms, if it is locked, just call me, ill get you squared away.
You will need one license to program the ecm if it has not been licensed by the cable already.
