Default 102/102 408 drivability

Its a bit of a long story, bottom line I don't think my setup is unique but at this point I want to do what it takes to get it to run right and or more HP. I'll swap cams, TB or whatever.

My plan is to get this running best as possible then pull it and put it into my 68 GTO.

That said, my issues are more or less some of the same issues I've been reading, intermediate idle hunting, IAC hang 1500rpms for 15sec, bad cold starts, foul smell at idle in garage, cam surge at almost all cruise rpms, drive thoughs are a PITA as rpms want to drop and not idle very well.

I am no tuner and don't know the parameters or figures that control them. Both my recent tuners (recent like 2011 &2012) had similar WOT dyno numbers. I only put less than 600 miles since that tune in 2012.

My specs are forged 408ci, LS3 CNC PRC heads, SS valves, 102/102 FAST not ported, 1 7/8 LTs, 6spd, cam 231/243 617/624 114, 11.4cr. Mez elec WP, pulleys, OE LS3 rockers, 04 cobra blue tops, racetronics FP

I wanted a decent LSA and was speced by PatG. I've seen much bigger cams out there but I sacrificed HP for a smaller cam and better street but not really worked.

I have read how the TB FAST 102s have given some issues. I do have one of the first 102/102 early runs from 2009.

What I did do was port the IAC hole and it ran much better, especially cold. Car wouldn't run without my foot, now it does and even warm starts don't require my foot just to start it. I did read early runs of the 102 TB had small IAC ports. Still though, looking for a solution.
