Default Tuning for my new combo

I'm having my stroker shortblock freshened up and while apart I'm going with a different head/cam package.

Old setup - Patriot stage 3's and 244/248 .617/.619 112+2 - 10.8cr
New setup - TFS 225 cnc'd and 239/246 .624/.595 113+2 - 11.7cr

1) For the purpose of breaking in my new motor will my tune be close enough? (gentle break-in/varying engine speed & load)

2) My current combo was tuned with LS1EDIT...looks like none of the local, or even semi-local tuners use 'EDIT. I'm guessing I would have to uninstall it from my PCM in order to get my new tune using HPT, LIVE, whatever. Right? How?

3) Would it make more sense to sell my PCM with edit installed and buy a
new one?

4) How do people normally go about breaking in a new motor before they are ready to put it on a dyno for a tune?

When I broke mine I was told to have my new do a base tune to my PCM (pulled it from the car and drove it to his shop) then reinstall, fire it up and let it run for about 20 mins with some light throttle here and there. Changed the oil then drove it easy to the tuner for a complete dyno tune

That car would need both dyno and drivability tune. We offer the tuning capability (HPT PRO for your setup) and custom tuning options to help you out as well.

If the bottom end is still the same, there is no real need to "break in" anything.

It's getting new rod/main brgs. and new rings. Was using some oil which is what started this party. I'm very concerned about giving it a proper break-in. If I do all of this and still burn oil I'm going to be pretty disappointed.

I'll call you in a few to talk about the tuning...
