Transgo HD2 shift kit I have a 4l60e that I just got rebuilt. I got the Z pack clutches, the "beast" sun shell, 2 5/8" Carbon Fiber PowerBand and the transgo HD2 shift kit. Would i need a retune after this? my tuner hasn't answered his phone so I haven't gotten an answer.
I feel the tranny a bit mooshy when shift but shifts fairly hard at 75% throttle. My tranny builder told me not to go WOT til after about 150 - 200 mile of mild driving. I'm sure my tranny has to relearn all the shifting points again but I need another opinion.

If you stuck with the stock converter, then no, you probably don't need a tune. But if the shifts feel mushy, you may want to find out what sizes the builder drilled out the separator plate feed holes and have your line pressure tested. Then you could decide whether to bump up your line pressure settings.
Tuning would be required if you want to change your shift points, your lock-up and unlock mph, and your shift times. But if you're happy with the stock programming, then you don't need to tune for these things.
