Got another ECM with a stock tune on it, or very close to stock from what I could see on it. Fired up and idled quite nicely as long as I did not touch the throttle so I re started and let it run until full operation temp. I was very excited as it idled very solid and sounded real good. I almost thought I would be home free! tried to restart after it got up to temp on the stock tune on the new ecm before connecting HPT and it did not want to idle and fished heavy as expected.

Before I got my replacement ECM I warrantied my car battery so it was strong and fresh, thinking maybe my last battery was going weak too fast and that may have contributed to the bricking of the my original ECM that I had flashed many many times prior no problems.

Full read of the new ECM, used my credits, updated the HPT to 2.24 2x to make sure it went right. Updated the OS for the tune with the tune open in HPT and made some minor changes for idle tuning from the How to idle guide post as it would not idle upon restart after I let it get warm.

Flashed and no fire, it almost seemed to want to for a split second. After the full re write when it re set the fuel pump it gave the full 3 second buzz. After cranking and retrying it gave the short thump so I knew I was in trouble. checked and it had the P0601 again and it will not fire. Tried to re write the tune then even tried to reload the original saved tune file from the ECM no go. So now I am dead in the water again.

I have emailed HPT today to see what can be done so I don't fry another, but now it looks as though I may have to wait yet again and maybe to a repin. But this is silly no problems until I tried to download the 2.24 version that is when it all seemed to start happening. I flashed my original so many times I cannot remember once I tried to download 2.24, made a very minor timing change and re wrote the calibration is when it killed my first ECM and now killed the replacement.

I am not ranting and raving, just reporting what is going on with my situation on my car and tuner. Hopefully something comes about quickly.
