Do i need a TUNE? Basic Mods Hello to all. So ive added a few mods on my Trans Am and lately my car wont shift; will just ovr rev. My power seems gone under hard/firm driving like when my clutch went out on my old Z/28 and i smell burnt ATF fluid when the tranny heats up.
I was thinking, could my added mods have damaged my tranny? Since i have never tuned my car or changed the shift tables. I don't think i changed the setup substantially that it would need a tune but i'am still skeptical. It is a straight shot from the air filter to the intake. Is a tune necessary for what mods i have? Can changing the shift tables help me out hear or dose the burnt smell of tranny fluid mean i need a re-build?

Any SES Lights? Codes Thrown? Have you change tires/wheels size?
I cant see that your new mods could have caused the issue. Probably just a coincidence that the issue started around the time you threw a few mods on. Get it scanned for any stored pcm codes at a local parts store and if there is a code that was thrown post it up here for us.

I would get a tune, I "think" *MAF Bored & Smoothed "
may have changed the line pressure
if you smell burnt trans fluid it may be too late,you may have burnt the clutches,I would change the trans fluid and tune
