Gen 5 tuning
#4
Virtual VE is a pita, I loaded the 2 bar custom OS with real VE tables and adj fan controls.
Concocted a base VE from the BlueCat tool (see HPTuners forums) from an LSA stock file to load as a starting point. The converted LS3 VVE tables blew when in boost.
If you have zero internal mods, don't worry about the VVE stuff and just tune the MAF as always.

We have quite a bit of experience with the gen III/IV/V computers.
You dont have to tune the ve on quite a few combos to get a car to idle/drive/and make power, but if you want the most out of it you will. You can actually make some pretty wild cam only combos work with pure maf, but they may have low rpm/airflow issues that having a completed vve table would fix. Using an early gen4 file can help you start with the ve tables. The blue cat just expands on that.
