frost mail order vs ttp? New motor with ported heads,228r cam, lts,ory, fast int, and tb. Also converter. It idles and surges in park but i def need a tune before i break it in and get it on a dyno for tuning. My issue is tune time perf in nj (2hrs away) says their mail tune is just to get it running ie.. No long trips or getting the rpms up until i get to their dyno. Frost has great feed back for tuning in new combos via mail that u can drive on. I trust ttp, but thats one hell of a towing fee. Wish frost had a number to call to see how close he can dial it in. Any feedback is welcomed.
TTP gave you great advice, a mail order tune for anything more than bolt ons should be just a starting point or a tune to get you up and running. We have done hundreds of mail order tunes on modded vehicles that are being drove around right now BUT always recommend getting your a/f checked at a minimum. There is no guaranteed way to know how close a mail order tune would be for your car. Nine out ten times I can get them pretty close but every car is different. TTP was just covering themselves by telling you that, I dont think its an issue of someone having a better mail order tune than them IMO. Thats just my perspective on it.
