2000 camaro engine harness

2000 camaro engine harness I purchased a Camaro harness on ebay. They said it was for a V8 ls1 engine.
I started pulling the the wires I didn't need. and notice that one connector was
blue and one clear, not red. I checked all the wires and it seems to be for ls1 V8
My question is can i just change the clear for the red. all the wires all in the right place for red connector. Should I trash it and start over?
