Isn't there a way to scan certain types of aftermarket sensors through unused GM sensors? For example, connecting a wideband to an unused EGR harness or AC Pressure harness. If yes, how does the aftermarket sensor need to be designed so that it can be scanned this way?

I'm wondering if an oil temp sensor could be connected this way and configured to report accurate numbers.
