I got my p59 flex fuel setup running. Everything is working including ac, had to do a 12volt pull up for the tach, as well. What are you guys using for flex fuel timing? The stock tables have a alot of spark retard, should we be using spark retard in the lower cells as well?
i did the p411 change with flex fuel now my cruise control don’t work I used the 02 Tahoe os and my asr light on and air bag light I’m trying to fix all these any why you guys know?

i am having the same issue. I know that there is another wire you may need to pin in that is different. I believe it is the cruise disable. I was going to try this when i had the time. Its blue 86 on the gto pin out, i cant find a pin out for the camaro that labels it the same but it might be red 83(cruise inhibit) i was going to look at the wiring diagrams for both and compare

I have a Hummer 2006 OS on my P59, so I can't tell. My cruise control work really well, everything actually, except the ASR (that's don't bother me that's much, but the Service Vehicle/ASR Off lights yes).

How did you found 86 blue and 83 red? There are only 80 pins on each connector. You mean 37 Red and 33 blue?

Don't know, go back to Camaro OS, buy an P59 compatible and put Hummer 2006 OS on it, everything work except the ASR if you wanna run flexfuel. I don't use my P411 to run flexfuel (I don't use it anymore, the E85 is cheaper than regular in France)

I am going to punch the Tahoe cal into an extra 0411 pcm and see how it does. Ill get all this nonsense of the a/c and the other stuff not working fixed. I'm going to get the typical GM flex sensor and buy an extra set of LS1 fuel lines and shorten them so it mounts up nice I think. I'll report back in a few weeks.

Okay, I have lurked thread and have a couple questions.
What if any benefit is there to having a express van pcm if you have to rewrite another OS onto it?
Secondly I’ve seen mention of a 05 avalanche flex os for a blend table. I have Silverado flex files from a 05 that I’ve already pulled and they look exactly the same as a avalanche. the number given earlier in this thread is the service number not the OS number. Just wondering as I have a Dbc p59 already and have the Silverado file and plenty of 80e files. Just was confused when they said the avalanche was optimal and I don’t see any stand out differences over the Silverado.

The benefit of the van pcm is that it’s guaranteed dbc. You can get one out of a gto too but they say hunt for a van one because it will work every time.
I also tell people to use the avalanche one because the avalanche flex OS is a known working OS that won’t act weird with the 80. Lots of people try to us a regular flex Tahoe or flex Silverado OS and then have all sorts of weird 80 glitches and bugs. It’s like there’s a weird 60 ghost in there messing things up. With the avalanche people don’t have those issues.
if you already for sure have a DBC p59 then use the avalanche flex OS and do the 80 segment swap. Just don’t forget to tell your computer you’re a DBC now and make sure you check the system options and change it all to a gmt-800 or you will probably have weird abs lights and airbag lights and stuff. It has to know it’s a truck and not a gto or corvette or whatever. (Mine would tell me I had low oil even though I didn’t and also tell me my battery wasn’t charging and it was.) in the system options there’s alternator options and what do you know? Fixed my weird warnings.

And I have 4.3 p59s laying around and of course they are drive by cable compatible so that’s why I asked

10-4. Odd on the OS issue though. The Silverado and avalanche file that I pulled had the same OS number. Do you have a Copy of the avalanche file you use that you could send me?

Sorry, I’m working off the top of my head so I think I got confused for a second.
The avalanche 2500 80 segment is preferable to the Silverado 2500 80 segment. In other words don’t try to put a silvy 80 segment in an avalanche flex segment. So I think that’s why people use the avalanche 80 segment AND the avalanche flex segment.
People just prefer the avalanche 80 segment so they just match both segments
