Default Thinking of installing a 2bar map sensor to datalog boost in HPTUNERS, will thiswork?

I have a supercharged Lt1, but only have a 1 bar MAP sensor. I want to be able to datalog boost and i belive this is not possible with a 1 Bar. So, would it work if I installed a 2 Bar MAP sensor and just hooked it up for datalogging? In other words, a dummy MAP sensor, who's sole purpose is to send boost numbers during datalogging.

I only have a 1 bar sensor currently. If I replaced that with a 2 bar or a 3 bar I would have to retune the car, correct? I did not want to retune, I just want to be able to datalog boost.

It should work fine, you need to feed it a clean +5V
(I'm against hanging things on PCM provided +5V feeds,
but you can get a 7805 regulator and make the MAP
run off IGN power from that). Get on the manufacturer's
support pages and you can probably find the details on
the transfer function so you can make a custom PID
that reads sensibly alongside the other logged data.

I was planning on using an empty 5v pin in my pcm.
