Do you think this problem is in the tune?
Do you think this problem is in the tune? I am just finishing a 5.3 vortec into a 1982 C10 truck swap. I used a chevy thunder wiring harness and tune. It is supposed to be in manual mode due to the trans in the truck is a TH375.
It cranks right up and idles like a champ but won't rev past 1500 RPM's.
I reset the PCM and I ran it (as instructed in his DVD material) 5 minutes cut it off wait 30 seconds fired it up. I have done this multiple times... it will not rev. It's like the MAF is disconnected. It is showing 48+ psi fuel pressure at idle and when I try to rev it, it goes up to 60. All connectors are plugged in. I pulled the MAF off my daily and installed it....same thing...won't rev. No codes at all.
I have checked and there are no vacuum leaks.
I have no idea if abuse mode is in this PCM and have no way of finding out as all I have is a scanner currently. Any ideas as to a way to bypass the abuse mode if that's the problem. I am located in central Va. and do not know LS tuners. Thanks for any help.
