MAP and MAF Question Anybody know if the PCM reads from the MAP at start up then get relys on the MAF in run mode? I am getting 1.48 g/m at idle from my MAF. When I unplug my MAF it plains out and idles smooth.
you have to take into consideration all the mods and the Size of the motor..
some cams will read less at idle and some will read more
dont worry too much about what values it reads as long as your fueling is correct and it seems consistent and smooth thru the entire operating range
if you start to see some odd values randomly, or if the signal is very noisy and jumps around a LOT, then I would worry about it and see if theres a problem
