Default having to change tune going from short to long tube headers

the previous owner of my car installed short tube headers for some reason. He had a chipped mailed to him for the tune. if I installed long tube headers would it be safe to run with that tune? Or would I need a new tune. since im not going from stock manifolds I thought I might be able to get away with it. I understand I might not get the most out of them without a tune just wondering if it will drive good

Previous owner said it had a small street cam in it but I'm not sure. I can't feel or hear it sounds stock. Ls1 engine

they don't have chips

sounds like the previous owner didn't know what he was doing...on a supercharged cammed car if it were mine I would be getting a tune from a reputable shop (a street and dyno tune) regardless of headers

I agree with thunderstruck. most shops will not do a mail order boost tune for a reason. save your pennies and get a dyno tune and if done right you will not be dissapointed
