Default VCM Scanner question

Do most of you guys that have doing this a while just make copies of vcm scanner, build a configuration and save it with a name such as " 2000 heads cam F body with AEM WB? Or, do you reconfigure each time and let it return to factory default when you are done using it?

Save each Config with a unique name.
Trust me, you will end up with a bunch of them.

I create separate config files for different aspects of tuning... idle, MAF, VE, etc. I also limit each config to the minimum number of PIDs necessary to get the fastest polling rate.

There are (at least) two levels of config files in vcm scanner:
1. Config file you can load from the menu within the scanner, and
2. Config file in the HP Tuners->Settings folder (VCM Scanner.cfg).

First one is for setting your PID tables for the different aspects of tuning as mentioned in this thread already and the second one is where custom PIDs are defined and may have other uses as well.

Not sure why they broke them out this way, I didn't figure it out until I searched a bit for it.
