Tuning 101
We took a 99TA LS1 auto and shoved it into a 87 formula, later we pulled the auto trans and installed a 6 speed.
I got into the tune and did what needed to be done to delete the auto trans, EGR, Air, ect.
The engine is stock at the moment except full headers, no cats, slightly different air intake tubing, EGR deleted, Air injection gone, ect...
The car idles fine runs ok but bucks and surges occasionally.
So last night I pulled out the EFI live cable (older style) started trying to pull logs ect... I am able to log now and figured out how to export the data to Megalog viewer (I'm used to looking at data logs this way)
So I need to order a Wideband and get it hooked to the logger, then I think I need to unplug the MAF sensor and dial in the VE table, reconnect the Maf and possibly tweek the Maf curve???
This should be fairly easy as its stock now but once I'm comfortable with it we want to install heads/cam ect....
Any help you can give me or point me to threads to read would be greatly appreciated!!
Also I can only log with the laptop in the car, anyone know how to get the interface cable to log then load to pc later? Cable says; Flashscan FSP V1.2
Thanks

Thanks.
I have some tuning exeriance but only open loop and no mass air. No narrow band o2. Only used wide and to dial in a very table.
Also have Motec experience, but also open loop, no maf.
I'll just jump in with a wideband and see what happens.
Using this procedure you leave the MAF and NB02's hooked up. Just plug in your WB(Serial connection is best), create the maps for VE and MAf BEN's, and go grab data. I'm in the middle of doing it myself and it works great.
Good luck, hope this helps.
