I just bought a 99 z28 6m I have a dead spot in the throttle So far I've cleaned maf, new fuel filter helped , I bought tr5s will these work well? And is .050 the gap it only has Kn filter.

For that big a gap or the stock gap I would have gone with TR55s. Opening up a TR5 to that gap gets the ground and center electrode out of square. Need a data log with the dead spot to see what is going on.

I can swap them out for 55s tomorrow but what do you recommend for the gap?

I have always run them at their out of the box gap of .059. Others may tell you to gap them smaller. I believe coil on plug and short wires have no problem firing that gap. There are times you might want to run a smaller gap but that is usually with a colder plug too.

My tr55's out of the box were gapped at .055. I just left them there.
