It should only be powered in run and crank, and must power up and power down together with the PCM.

There were several good reasons why I fired the builder that began this project for me. This just adds to the list. The TAC module is wired to battery voltage not ignition voltage. Looks like he used some little fuse box for this, so I bet I end up re-wiring the thing or replacing it with something else.

This really should take care of my issues. Thanks for all the replies here.
