Default OBDII evap not completing

I just bought my 99 SS a week ago. Basically stock. It has long tubes and straight pipes. LS6 intake. I worked for a couple days on various o2 sensor problems and cleared check engine codes every time it threw one. Now it doesn't throw a check engine light anymore but it won't run the complete cycle so I can get it inspected here in NC. The evap, catalyst and egr tests won't get a baseline. Basically I just want the evap to test. I've tried to follow the suggestions in the sticky thread. I've driven it about 300 miles since the last code was cleared. Filled it up with 93 twice. Chevy dealership said it needs between 1/4 and 3/4 of gas to run the evap. All I need is any one of the tests to run and it will pass. I'm not a mechanic obviously lol. Please tell me there is some sorcery to this. Me and my old lady are tired of driving this thing around in circles.

Do you have the Helm manuals, or a reference that tells
you in detail the conditions for running each of these
three Readiness tests? Look for the common conditions
that would prevent them all from going. If any of them
just happen to have missing hardware, then look at the
codes that relate to them and make sure some clown
didn't "kill" them by making them "No MIL" rather than
"enabled, no error reported" (this latter will let the
higher-level Readiness tests run to completion, the
former will be deemed a fault if active, just one you
don't see, and fail).

I wiped the stored data clean and restarted the test with a full talk and it finally ran the cycle.
