Default Tuning advice.

So buttoning up my swap. I'm about ready to fire it up and start the tuning process. Background on the swap is a stock ls1 to a stock 07 lq4 mated to a m6 in a 99 formula. Assuming all goes well, and it starts up. What would you guys recomend for tuning.

I don't really have the funds to go to a shop, or the know how to run hptuners.

I just want to be able to finally drive the car again. And I don't have any plans for mods in the future. Just going to stay a dd.

Thanks.

Do you have a wide ban 02?
If you do i would just watch your wb reading your stock 5.7 to a 6.0 will be really close

I don't have a wideband. But I do have a diagnostic tool that will tell me rich vs lean.

Would an diablo sport intune i1000 be my best bet?

Send your PCM to a mail order tuner like LSX Power Tuning. Far less than any hand held tuner and much more customized tune.

There's a place near me that does them and they said, about 250 to have it done. Does that sound about fair?

Because for another 80 bucks I can get the Diablo and then have it as a code reader and clearer too.

I think LSX Power Tuning charges about 150. There are others that are cheaper but not sponsors here so I can't mention them. You've changed engine sizes. That requires changes that hand helds are really not designed to do. You've been given advise but don't seem to want to follow it so do whatever you want.

It's not that I don't want to follow it. I'm very new to this so a lot of it is me just trying to clear up misconceptions about products what they do and what is best. That is all. At 150 going that route is a no brainer especially with my budget right now. So thank you for your help!
