Default Knock sensor error

Started logging my GTO & right away noticed the KS was stuck at 3* knock. Under WOT it will rise to 5*, no higher.

So to test the KS I started the logger to see what it read. It was at 0* knock. as soon as I started the engine it jumped to 3* as it was reading prior. There is some valvetrain noise but I don't thing it is enough to cause this.

I have a new sensor & will try replacing it, but before I do I will take of the valley cover & inspect the harness, lifters & such, but I wanted to get others input if this is a common occurrence.

I uploaded scan & DTC's

Thanks, I was going to ask if it was better served in PCM tuning... move as you see fit.

Typically, you will have to replace both sensors with OEM ones (AC Delco or Delphi) and the subharness also.

Thanks Joe. I appreciate the response. I should just PM you from now on, LOL.

Researching it I found this. http://www.obd-codes.com/p0332

I am going to clear the codes & do all of the above mentioned.

One question I have, if you don't mind, in addition is in regard to LTFT's. I got this car modded but not thoroughly tuned. The LTFT's are going from +8-18%. I am going to change the O2's and I have a LM1 to add to it once I get a replacement O2. (Gave it to a friend a week before I bought the car). I doubt it is an O2 issue since both are reading near identically.

So the question is, in your experience, can a ported LS6 intake & Fast TB vs stock LS1 change VE that much to result in that much of a LTFT variance? Car supposedly has ported heads & LS9 cam.

No, ported intake and TB would make a smaller difference than that;

heads and cam can make that much difference.

Also, with heads/cam, if you're running a MAF, you'll have to correct both VE and MAF tables (independently of each other)

(MAF is upstream but still needs correcting because heads/cam changes the intake resonance characteristics which affects MAF dynamics).

Getting to MAF tuning was first on my list once I get everything sorted out with the KS's. I have a few things to double check first so I know I am at a decent starting point.
