Default Changing engine info that can be taken from the ECU for Racepak dash?

I fired the ls3 in my 69 firebird road course/street car for the first time tonight. Before firing it I contacted Racepak for some help configuring the dash. I am using their OBD2 module that takes info from the ECU and displays it on the dash. We discovered that there is a lot of info that I could display, but there is a lot that can't at the moment. Oil pressure and Oil temp were nowhere to be found. We found coolant temp, rpm, fuel pressure, etc, but no oil info! Spertech made the wiring harness and ECU for the Texas Speed LS3. There is a oil sensor wired in to the harness. Can the ECU be configured to give different info than what might be on there at the moment?

It depends on what ECM your running and your harness if you will be able to see oil pressure or other parameters. Odds are what your seeing is all your going to get.

I talked to Spertech and they told me that oil pressure should be readable by a scanner...so it is being read by the ECU. Racepak then told me that even though it may be in the ECU the dash isn't compatible the type of info that is being given out by the sensor and ECU. Now I have to get a different $150 cable to take info from the sensor to the dash. One of the most important engine parameters and it isn't readable by the Racepak OBD2 module...figures.

Yeah if you're running a E38 (most likely on LS3) the ecm can see oil pressure.
