tune question for after cam swap
tune question for after cam swap I was just wondering about the tune because ive heard everyone talk about pat g and how good he is but i had someone recommended to me by someone else on here who is closer and a little cheaper and also will look at and fix any problems that may come up after with the tune. just wondering what do you guys think? probably going to be the tick sns stage 2
yeah i figured. its just this guy is closer as well so if i do need to go back. and i thought it might be okay as i was referred to him by someone else on this site

Cheaper and closer is no indication of skill, knowledge or quality of work. It sounds like you have already made your mind up on to go with that person. They could do an excellent job or they could do a horrible job and then you have to pay for a second tune for someone else to re-tune it. We have had people come to us who have been to 2 or 3 different local tuners before traveling a few hours to us and spent more than a thousand dollars in tuning vs just going somewhere and getting it done right the first time. We tune cars from all over Texas and have people bring cars from hours away and so does Pat G. A bad tune could make you hate your car or even hurt your motor/trans so tuning isnt the place to start trying to take a shortcut IMO. You just have to do your homework and go with whoever you feel more comfortable with.
