98 PCM to 99+
I know it says that the red and blue connectors are opposite from 98 to 99, so when it says let's say C1 red 2 to c1 red 7, I know the first red is the existing red connector (98)but am I transferring it to the existing red 0f the 98 or the blue which would be the new red?
I am hoping someone understands what I mean by this, I don't want to wire the connectors opposite
Thanks
I recently did this 98swap but my new pcm is a 411
On the 98 pcm red is said to be 1st column and on 99+ pcms blue is said to be the 1st. So yes, when it says c1 red to c1 red 7, that 2nd C1 Red is the ''NEW C1 BLUE''.
Whenever you read ''from C1 to C1'' always remember that the second C1 is BLUE. Take this as a default i say.
And by the way, don't use just one spreadsheet. Check your place from at least two spreadsheets. Just my 2cents.
Here are the links that i had used personally.
1st one is stock 98 pcm (FBody)

2nd one is stock 99+ pcm (FBody)
http://lt1swap.com/2001_PCM_CONN_PINOUT.htm
And lastly this one is from LS1tech which really saved my ***. I was on the verge of ordering a new wiring honestly.

But all i can tell you is this. Study. Study a lot and try to understand how the pcm works, what are all those sensors for... If you know how a sensor works, you can easily overcome the fault codes.
But on the other hand, by no means i am an expert of pcm swaps. Yes my car is working and yes no codes are being thrown. But i am having the weirdest issues with my transmission. Hunting gears, slipping and upshifting only at too high of rpms.
I am suspecting of a faulty vss but no codes are thrown, tps sensor working on hp tuners graphs. And i had double checked all the repinned wires but couldn't come up with anything so you shouldn't think when you're finished repinning, it means you're finished. This is a work in progress and it will take a while. Don't give up.
