DTC P1516 alone, do I need a new TAC module?
This is about a 2005 LQ9 with drive-by-wire in a '70 Impala. The car has run well (although not often...) for about 6 years now and a couple of weeks ago, it had an issue:
Some days, and some days only, when I start the engine, it idles pretty rough and the throttle pedal does not work. After a few minutes idling like that, or if I turn it off and re-start it immediately, all goes back to normal.
I read the code, it is P1516, and just that one; this is a TAC module issue.
I have read here and elsewhere online about this code and it seems people always have several codes at the same time, never just this one. Also, other people talk about a "limp-home" mode with no power, whioch I have not experienced (yet).
Having a P1516 alone, do I just need a new TAC module?
Some people also talk about cleaning the throttle body, does this make sense?
