HP Tuners pre version 3.0 .exe
While swapping out my primary laptop to a new one I see that I'm running VCM Suite 2.24.57. I saved the VCM Editor.exe and VCM Scanner.exe files off on an external HDD and was able to copy them to another computer and got them to open the program. I was thinking this could hep people who updated their software to v3.0, (which I understand not only overwrites v2.24, but also updates the Scanner firmware) but still want to have the old version for Configs, histograms, etc.
On my computer these files are at C:\program files (x86)\HP Tuners
Does any one have the v2.24.100 or v2.24.102 which I understand are the latest before v3.0? Obviously I would post this on HPT but it would get locked/deleted right quick.
If there is interest I can investigate putting these files on a file sharing server somewhere.

So What is the oldest update compatible with the mpvi2 firmware? Thanks for the info I do have a tuner friend who still has his mpvi1 but just trying to fid out more about this thanks again I do appreciate your help and time.
FYI for the MPVI 1 per http://y2u.be/DQ-q5RwUiDk @6:20 or so the forced secret firmware update that blocks the versions I think you need started in VCM Suite 4.0.x, but someone else told me that 4.4.2 was the first to have the firmware update. Luckily I've only upgraded to I think 4.2.12 and so far it has NOT updated my firmware but I've kept the machine offline, not sure if that matters. But I am certainly able to run any/all versions up to and including 4.2.12 on my MPVI1 including those old 2.x versions.
So bottom line is if your friend you mentioned with the MPVI1 has not run version 4+ yet (that upgraded its firmware) you'd be able to use those older 2.x versions you are seeking. I don't think there is any way to get the MPVI2 to do it.
You get to that point, PM me as I have these I can get to you somehow:
VCM Suite 2.24.1165.msi
VCM Suite 2.24.1170.msi
VCM Suite 2.24.686.msi
I'd need some time to get them to you, I don't check here every day or even every week LOL...
There's also the option to DOWNGRADE the firmware of an MPVI1, there used to be ebay listings of people doing that, if you find an MPVI1 that has been upgraded.
Good luck finding a used MPVI1 that hasn't been firmware upgraded, I've seen those sell for $750 with zero credits before, probably bought by people in the same boat as you.
EDIT: wanting to keep this accurate since others will find this thread exactly as you did, in http://y2u.be/_NJ8zxACaCY at around 2:00 this same dude actually states 4.4.x was the versions that upgraded the firmware, so see if your friend's MPVI1 is using VCM Suite earlier than 4.4.0 and you should be able to use the old software you are asking about.
