Ac in 91 c1500 swap
Ac in 91 c1500 swap Ok, I've read and read and read.
I've come to the conclusion there is 2 ways I can do this and I have some questions.
First method would be let the hvac control the compressor like normal and use a trinary switch to energize the high speed cooling fan relay.
The second would be:
Rewire to a gto set up and let the Pcm control everything. So I'd have to install an analog pressure sensor and wore the ac request signal from the hvac unit to the pcm.
My questions are
1. Would the first set up work? With the computer not knowing the ac is on will the iac be able to keep the idle in an acceptable range?
2. If I wire it up and let the pcm have control where do I install the pressure sensor, high or low side pressure? And where would I put the ac request wire going into the pcm so it sees I want it to turn the ac on?
