Base tune?
Cam is a 2000 LS1 unit from a Vette.
Converter is a 1999 LS1 unit from a Z/28 into the stock 4L60E trans.
Also using the EGR from the Z/28.
Exhaust is the 98/99 Z/28 manifolds, modded to go into the stock cat (Y pipe).
Goal is better MPG, with a lot of fun factor. Stock MPG on the Dime is 17-19, stock on the truck is 20 @ 5500 lbs w/3.73 gear.
Truck weight is 3450, gear is 3.42. By my Jethro math, I should net around 25 MPG, give or take.
So, I would assume that the computer (0411) should be tuned as if it a Z/28 or Vette with an LS1 (cam lift/duration). Turn off the VATS and add in the VIN. Will run the upper O2 sensors. Do I need the lowers? Having a Plug & Play harness built. No power adders. Goal is 325 HP.
If additional tune is needed later, is there a shop in the Madison WI area?
