Default knock sesnor code after ms3 in my lq9

so I recently had a lq9 block rebuilt with a ms3 cam installed. 234 heads TSP headers and fast intake. normal driving the car runs fine but if I try to get into it it starts to shutter really hard, like a misfire, on the top end of the rpms. the engine light is on, I thought it would be for a misfire but it was DTC P0331 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 2). My question is would the knock sensor cause it to run like that or could something else be causing it to run like that and IT caused the code.

KS code will cause the pcm to pull the max KR allowed in the KR in PE table when in PE mode, but the code itself will not cause a misfire. On a 02 F calibration that is only 4 degrees unless the table was changed.

So if the KR is at the max 4 degrees that wouldn't cause a hard shutter under load similar to a misfire?

No. 4 degrees is nothing.
