Default ID1000 rich idle

Ive got a 2009 G8, 402 stroker, small cam shaft, stock heads, headers and exhaust, and eforce blower, its got ID1000 injectors and at idle it runs very rich, ive scaled the injectors back 25% because of the hard limits in the PCM using injector dynamics data, Ive adjust the maf fueling up and down and the prediction coefficients up and it still stays rich at idle, ive reduced the short pulse adder and minimum pulse with by more than 50% and it still stays rich, commanded fuel is 14.68 when its happrning and the pcm is in closed loop operation.
Is there something Iam doing wrong or can someone point me in the right direction? TIA

so is the VVE tuned? if not disable your VVE, and tune the maf first. I see it enabled below 3600 rpm.

VVE isnt tuned, maf roughly tuned, ive only just started tuning it, focusing on idle first, I just have doubts about the injector modeling cause of the rich condition at idle, the injectors dont seem to respond to any adjustments from the VVE when i lean it off, the rest of the tune is pointless if the injector modeling isnt correct, its either data not quite right, something else where in the tune Iam missing or is it just the injectors are to big?

What does your fuel system consist of?
Fuel pressure at idle?

Those are some huge injectors for that setup. You plan to run a dry nitrous shot or something? There's a chance you could be hitting the minimum injector pulsewidth. Check that out. If you are, then you should scale back your base pressure by probably 50% and retune. Or better yet, sell your injectors and get smaller ones. ID850s are a better choice.

Ive tuned id1300 on a 5th gen before with no issues, doubt its that.

Well, I have ran into the problem before with only 80# injectors on an LS1 car. So it very well could be that.

ive never hit the min pulsewidth "limit" on an 80lb injector in an 0411 pcm nor an e38. The smallest pulsewidth ive ever seen in fact wasnt any lower than a 1.0 mS. If you are hitting the "limit" I suggest lowering your base fuel pressure so your pulsewidth goes higher, at the same load.

I've ran 160s on a 5.3 on a stock ECU and didn't have that problem.
That's the beauty of an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Yeah, I know how to fix the issue, I was just stating that it can happen. That's what I ended up doing on the 80# car. I actually ran him at like 30psi base. Car ran great after I tuned that in.

°How do you know your G8 is "running rich"?
°Have you installed a wide band O2 sensor? Do you have catalytic converters?
°You mention that it is idling in closed loop. If your B1S1/B2S2 sensors are in good condition and you don't have any exhaust leaks, then your PCM will be controlling the closed loop AFR at 14.7 (assuming you are within 25% on the base MAF table).
°Most likely a wide band will show that you are indeed at 14.7 AFR at idle, yet you can smell fuel. Welcome to life with long tube headers making O2 sensors lazy at idle coupled with longer duration cams (overlap) and larger injectors. It's time you start reading up on injector timing.

You cant just scale the injector data 25%, without scaling the whole tune. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and just use the double stoich / halve IFR technique. Works perfectly.

Wide band is installed, injector timimg has been already modified. Ive solved the issue and now it idles good and trims are with in 5%, thank you for the help every one.
