E38 Vats
E38 Vats When the vats is armed on with a E38, does it not allow the starter to engage?
2008 gmc sierra (vortec max) owner swapped the L76 for a LY6, I was going to disable the DOD - Truck starter before hand, licensed the ECM, disabled the rear 02s and DOD - flashed the tune and no start, wont even attempt to crank. No fuel psi. So I figured the VATs enabled - I've disabled both VATs patches and starter fault check. No change, will not crank or power the fuel pump. Am I missing something with the VATs disable? Yes, I did "Write Entire"

If you are sure you wrote back a file based on what was read out of the truck then disconnect the battery for a few minutes. I had one do that to me once and that got it going again. I think it was a 08 also.
We actually tried this as well. Reflashed it to the stock tune file that I had pulled and it did not change anything.
I knew this was the case with gen 3/411ecm, wasn't sure if there was a difference on gen 4 with a e38 ecm.
I have verified power to the relays for fuel and starter. Could this be an issue with the BCM?
