411 pcm swap issues HELP

Default 411 pcm swap issues HELP

Not new to forum but my first post. I hope somebody can help. As stated above I did a 411 pcm swap in a 98 Camaro 5.3 swap. I repinned my 98 harness to the 411 pcm out of a truck with some success. Car runs... but I'm having issues with trans. 4l60 that came in car. I have no OD or first gear. I can manually shift to second and then to third. When put in od tcc solenoid works. Speedometer constantly climbs when cruising. It's wayyyy off. Reads 150 at speeds of 45. I replaced vss to no avail. Checked wiring to main pig tail and ohm'd out wires. Getting 12v to solenoids. And every wire is pinned right. Have checked twice now. Went out on a limb and replaced shift solenoids. Waste of money there. I'm at a loss. Quite confused why speedometer is climbing so high. Any ideas guys??? Thanks in advance.

double check this pdf vs the guide you used to make sure nothing is mismatched.

guage cluster doesnt get direct signal from vss but through the ecm. The problem you are running into their is the 99+ cluster is digital the 98's were analog. Not sure if this is affecting your transmission problem though. That PDF mentions a performance switch for the transmission as an optional may be something related to that as well?

Thanks man. I'll double check pins again to this diagram. Should have mentioned in post I hooked a scanner up to watch live data. Vss sensor is corresponding with mph being shown on gauge cluster. Vss sensor is all out giving a false reading.

I dont think there is a difference with here, but did you replace the vss with a 98 or 99+?

I cant offer a whole of help becasue I didnt keep my cluster when I swapped but I am running a 98 ecm......something stupid just popped into my head though...what did the 411 pcm come off of? the pcm is calibrated based of gear ratio and tire size, have these parameters been reset to match your current setup?

I changed with 98. Tho I do believe they are the same part. Talking with tuner now. Were gonna go back and check out tune. Maybe has 4l80 tune or manual. Hopefully so. Thanks for your help
