check engine light

I have a code P0420 and I need help to get this fixed.

Trouble Code P0420 - Catalytic Converter Inefficiency Bank 1
I assume your running O2 sims, right?? Looks like one might be bad

Would it be one o2 sim or both ? Should I get new one's what should I try? I am running with an off road y-pipe no cats.

well if you want to be sure, swap them and see if you start throwing a code for the other side.

The guy I took the car to tald me that it was possible both were bad I need to get this car to pass inspection by next week or so.

If these o2 sims work the way they should I shouldn't have any problem passing emisions testing right?
