I tried opening both logs too and got an error. No issues opening the tune.

holy crap thats like 25psi what minute mark is that? the highest I see in my logs is 230 kpa and I was aiming for 16psi with the e-boost controller

i have my map sensor filtered to 100ms, should i remove that?

Good folks.

yeah they done me right. I was wary of all the heads and blocks stacked up, but they seem to be reasonable about listening to my needs and not giving me the hard sell on a full tilt rebuild. got it back when they said it would be ready. you just cant ask for more than that.

plus they were listening to robin trower and SRV when I went in

so weird, try this one I opened it on a v3.2 which seemed more stable to me as far as the scanner went.

What the crap, that didnt open either. Did HPT seriously not verify that the 3.4 is backwards compatible with 3.2 stuff? Anyways, when you saw the 235kPa and said 25psi, are you accounting for atmosphere? I.E. 100kPa of that is getting rid of vacuum, so its really 135kPa of boost.

yes I think so.....I saw the 266 kPa cesar posted from my log, thats where the 25 psi came from i was exclaiming at....but my map never went higher than 232 as far as I can see

i use a little app from the sloppy wiki that translates kPa to psi and accounts for the first 101kPa /14.7psi atmospheric

I gotcha. Yeah 232/235kPa is around 19psi, what were you shooting for?

the e boost 2 was set to 16psi, and I was fooling with the solenoid duty cycle to get the best control

yessir. that is the plan.

i figured with the tiny hot side AR of the 7875 it's gonna take more psi to get to my goal.

that 16psi is just a measurement of restriction through the intake right? 16psi from my ebay 7875 is not the same as 16psi from an efficient turbo

The map reading is direct. When it says 235 kpa, that's about 19psi.

Unless you are spraying meth, that boost on pump with 13 degrees timing will bust stuff.
our 92 premium sucks.

Knock sensors working? Set to stock settings?

FWIW, when we tune the Hemis on pump at that boost we run 3-4 degrees of timing. And they are forged pistons.
We don't go over 11 psi with stock pistons. Unless we spray meth.
It's a valid comparison. They behave much the same way.

Eboost 2 sets in percentage not boost.....correct?

you are correct, load would be the indicating variable not map, but i think it may be a little too much for a 6.0 or just borderline on pump 93.

made 675 on 13 psi on a 6.0 with ls9 cam with a on3 7875 pump 93 @ 5500 rpm

i assume you have a bigger cam, and have more boost, which would put you in the 700 range, which you have to be very careful when it comes to boost spikes (on pump), alas we see the damaged piston

yep you are correct.. two settings IIRC sp1 and sp2.. sets in pulsewidth % to set boost

I couldn't open your logs but I could look at your tune....16psi, 14 degrees of timing and 11.4 AFR on 93 is a bit brave to me. With that much boost on pump I think you'd want a slightly richer AFR and definitely less timing. I forget, did you check the plugs to see if it was too hot or detonating?

I have one not yet in my car.
I'm tuning my buddies car with one in it. Giving me fits! I wish it was programmable via a laptop. Would be soooo much easier than pushing buttons.

We get 92 octane. And we get a winter blend which is horrible.
i think we are at the switch to summer blend time now.

winter/summer blend.....I still think his boost/timing/AFR was too aggressive. If he had meth it probably would have saved the motor, but pure pump gas it was too hot of a tuneup

you guys really think thats too aggressive with the boost huh? ok i'll knock it back to around 12 and take some timing out and work my way back up. so much to consider. I'll get my methanol spray working before I shoot for 16psi again.

My goal is 750 wheel on pump & meth. We don't have much e85 around here so I'd have to buy a drum if wanted to go that route...but I have room in the fuel system for it.

see the plugs looked totally ok to me! but I havent cut the threads off to see the bottom of the insulator ---I was thinking about switching to a non projected tip plug from the tr6's

meanwhile what should I set my rpm limits and resume to for 100% stock bottom end 4.8 with the "gen 4" rods & pistons? seems like guys are going to 7200 ish with them?
