Default Can I modify an existing HP Tuners tune with different computer with HP Tuners on it

Guys,
I have a 2000 C5 6 speed with a tune on it from RPM in Delaware. Its a bolt on car with headers, LS6 intake, CAI, etc. Car makes 350 rwhp and 360 rwtq. RPM never changed my fan temps, and Im sick of having my car hit 230 degrees in 5 minutes of traffic. My buddy has HP tuners with credits and he says he can jump into the PCM real quick and lower the stock fan temps. Is this possible with HP Tuners or do I need to have RPM do it due to licensing and files?

Mike

Yes you can as long as the pcm is not locked. You will have to license it with the hpt interface you use.

How do I know if the previous tuner locked it or not?

The license is tied to the interface, not the software. I have HPT on three laptops...
