Timing retard Working on a truck with an lq4, added some better heads and flashed a stock lq9 file to it. At WOT in gear it wont rev past 700rpm and has no power. Watching the data, it is pulling timing to -10 any one have any idea what is going on or tips to look at?
EGT Measurement Hi, I will always STATE if the Spark Instant if correct, it will have a lower EGT.
My method is to find the point when the EGT is greater when the timing is too Late.
Thus if you measure a HIGH EGT, the timing retard may be too great.
