Cammed 5.3 Swap, with 0411 ECU from a S10
I didn't think about the implications before hand, and this whole thing has been a jumbled mess. But I originally had my 5.3 with a SLP 234/228 cam and LS1 intake running on a 1997/1998 ECU. I ditched that computer, had a custom harness made and I am now running a 0411 ECU out of a v6 truck.
I have already licensed and started porting the tune from the 97/98 ECU to the 0411, I have it running well enough and it idles and drives fine. I just installed headers and 4" exhaust, so it will need to be retuned, but I want to have my file straight and clean before I start messing with it.
My question is, would it be better to fill in modifier and adapt tables like proportional, integral and derivative airflows, cranking fuel, injector control, etc from a stock 5.3 truck file or a stock 2002 LS1 file?
I'm assuming I need to go with the 5.3 file tables, but I know the trucks are not tuned as well as the 00-02 cars. O2, closed loop, and airflow mode tables are different.
Any suggestions there?
Attached is my tune file if it helps.
