M6 to FMRVB 4L80E Park/neutral switch
So my car was originally a m6 and I converted it to a 4l80e. The pcm is still tuned as a m6. My only issue is the idle tables while in park and in gear.
Since my car has no way of knowing when it's in gear, how can I tell them pcm when it's in gear so I can have it change idle tables? I can add switches to my ratchet shifter but I don't know what or if any wire I can tap into to allow me to tune for this issue.
Keep in mind I have a tci full manual valve body so the m6 to 4l80e wiring adaptor will not do me much good. The car still runs and drives, but idle and going from park to drive will have it stall sometimes.
So I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this setup lol. Any help would be appreciated. Also I will be going to a speed density tune next year, would this help the issue at all?

I hear people talk about doing a segment swap (computer) for the 4l80e. Can probably do a search. I would want mine to run as if it was from the factory. At some point I may do that with mine.

I don't know which PCM wire on your year of car goes the P/N switch for an auto trans, but it should be easy enough to look up online. With your manual valve body a segment swap or extensive tuning should not be needed. Once a park/neutral switch is hooked to your shifter, I don't see any big issues in just swapping your tune file to think it is an auto and tune your in gear idle tables. Just in case this does cause some issues with none of the other auto stuff being hooked up, I would kill off all torque management.
EDIT-- A quick glance around the internet seems to show that pin 34 of the blue PCM connector needs ground to signal a park/neutral condition.
