High Rpm Shutoff
High Rpm Shutoff I picked up a 00' z28 recently,(1st car in my sig) It runs great except for one issue, out on the street it will shut off at 5k rpms. It only seems to do it when I go WOT and it downshifts to a lower gear and it quickly hits 5k.
It's been down the track about 16 times and has never given an issue.
When it shuts off it doesn't shudder, backfire or anything. It simply shuts off, I then bump it up to neutral and hit the key and it starts right back up like it always does. It throws no codes.
The only thing I read on here is grounds, grounds, grounds. I've pulled off the ones in the engine bay, cleaned and re-tightened with no gain.
Is there anything in the tune that could cause this? It has been tuned previously.

I just wanted to update for anyone in the future.
I pull all the grounds I could find, cleaned and re-installed with no change. I added a new ground from engine to chassis with no change.
I swapped in a crank sensor from my other engine and so far all is good, if anything changes I'll be back. Thanks all for the help.
