Hypertech knock -can it update?? Does anyone know if Hypertech can update a Hyperpac programmer if you are getting knock? Years ago I used the Don Kiger GNX Hi flow chip in a grand national and I understood if I was ***** to the wall flat out which I did not do often I would occasionally get some ping. With octane boost my GN ran great w no ping.
Hypertech is supposed to work with a 93 octane fuel so it should not knock because I only run 93. I know a professional tune is better and probably when I'm done with my car I will have Frost do a tune.
For now I just wanted to use Hypertech to lower the coolant temp which it did great.
I heard that Hypertech can update certain programmers and pull the timing a bit to reduce knock retard which I am getting a max of 2.9. Any insight into this is appreciated.
