Dyno Tune help?
Dyno Tune help? I'm a virgin when it comes to dyno tuning. I'm running an email tune from Solomon that I like except for WOT/PE. The stock tune didn't show knock. Solomons tune and subsequent retunes using my data logs all showed 10*(!) of knock retard. I reduced it by bringing timing down to just 30* @ 90-100 kpa MAP but I still don't feel comfortable at all "getting on it" and therefore don't- ever. There is NO knock retard any where else in the tune just in PE/WOT mode.
If I bring the car to a dyno tuner will they be able to just dial in the WOT/PE timing and AF to save dyno time cost? Any reason not to do it that way?

Find another tuner. Yes, a "dyno tuner" can dial in the lambda and timing value your engine likes.

Holy crap. 26-28 is almost always peak power timing. If you have access to the tune, drop to 26, and then you can safely let it rip.
Chuck cow tuned by any chance?
Dyno tuning by the hour is typically 100-140. Should be able to get WOT timing and AFR in an hour
