Default LTFT discovery

For months now, I have been having positive LTFTs at WOT. This past weekend, I put back on my stock air lid and paper filter. I drove the car for a few days and today I rechecked my WOT LTFTs. They finally went 0! The
aftermarket air induction was making the PCM think the car was running lean.
Next I am going to try the aftermarket air lid with the stock paper filter and
see what happens.

I take it you were using an oiled filter before?
Did you do any cleaning of the MAF around
all this, or just "air laundry"? Sounds like it got
better, anyway.

I clean my MAF regularly, but I didnt clean it for this swap. I forgot to say that I had a K&N filter in before the swap to stock.

He doesn't need a MAFT now, from the sound of
it; the lean condition went away with proper
dental hygeine.
