I went and Stepped in it. I have a 2002 camaro with a lq9 built. I recently swapped it over to a standard transmission. I took the car out to a guy in cypress Texas to have him tune it over for a standard. The car did not go on a dyno. The car seemed to idle worse after i took it to the guy
. Anyway he turned the vats on and it was acting up. A friend of mine has hp tuners (he does not know how to tune) so i figured id turn it off. I saved the base tune that was in there. I then turned off vats and saved that tune. I saw while i was in there that there was a button that said rolling idle. My car was idling high while rolling so i figured id lower the idle in there to see what would happen. Well i took it for a 2 or so mile drive and the car misfired when in overdrive and when in lower rpm acceleration. It felt like when i had my had my stock motor and my header flange came loose. It was a horrible random misfire. Right before i got it home driving through my neighborhood it would miss and then when i got it to about 2500 rpm it would take off like there was nothing wrong. So i just reflashed it to my original tune. The car still has a bad miss and idles low. I havnt cold started the car yet however when i start it up warm i have to give it gas or it wont fire. I'm going to change the plugs tomorrow to see if i just burnt them up. What do yall think?

changed the plugs So i changed the plugs and the car did run slightly better.... it was overdue anyway. when i reflashed the pcm it must have changed a lot of settings... I cold started it after putting the plugs in and got these codes. So i am getting u1000: class 2 data link malfunction , C0240: PCM traction control not allowed. , C0245 wheel speed sensor malfunction. , p0106: MAP range/performance. , p0142: Secondary air injection. , p0803 1-4 upshift.
I know for sure secondary air injection should and p0803 were previously deleted. I guess this means i must have a different version of hp tuners and it caused these issues.
Now i need another professional tune.
