Default SES light does not work - tuned out?

I posted this in the electronics section some months back but didn't get a reply, so figured id try in here with all you tuner guys!

The SES light on my 01 WS6 doesn't work at all. Even when i turn the ignition on, it doesn't light up. Im guessing that at some point during the cars tuning life, somebody has disabled the light completely. Is this a possibility?

If not, what else could cause this as i am lead to believe there are no bulbs for these dash lights, its an LED on the PCB?

Cheers

James.

You need to take the cluster out and take it apart and test the bulb or led.

So there IS a bulb then? I was under the impression it was hard wired into the PCB of the cluster.

Ok I'll get it checked out. I'm guessing the guy I brought it from may have took the bulb out then to hide the light for the bad TPS it had when I got it.

Bulbs can also be soldered on to the PCB in the cluster just like a LED.
