Hi, I have a 5.3 swap out of a 2002 GMC yukon dbw I am swapping into a 61 Impala. i have it all in and the only problem i am having is with the throttle body not functioning. I have the pedal and TAC from the car the engine was pulled from as well. I swapped the stock throttle body for one from a LS2 (silver blade). I didn't but an adapter harness I just hardwired it according to schematics I got from online.

The problem I am having is with ignition on I get no response from the throttle pedal at all and I get a CEL P1516. I also notice the throttle body blade attempts to open in the wrong direction, after 2 weeks and desperation I switched the yellow and brown wires on the throttle body. now when I turn the ignition on the TB blade opens all the way and when I push the pedal it closes (the complete opposite of what it is suppose to do.) I have tried switching the low reference and 5 volt signal wires and reversing the app signal wires app 1 to sensor 2 on the throttle body and vice versa.

The strange part about it is with the brown and white wires reversed and the TB blade open all the way but responding to the pedal, I get no CEL's!!! had the file checked this morning and it is a 2002 yukon DBW file tried one from a 01 vette same issue.

I have searched this forum forwards and backwards and found similar problems but nothing like this. Please Help!!!! thank you..

Just a thought. Did you ever run the engine with the original throttle body, etc?
