Default E38 park/neutral

Using an e38 ecm on a 6.0 and th350 combo. Does the park/neutral pinout need to be hooked up for the park/ in gear idle tables on the ecm? If it is not hooked up what would be the negatives? Would it only read the in park idle table? Thanks

This would mostly affect idle, but there are numerous tables that reference Park/idle.

It depends on how radical your setup is and your expectations of the vehicle.

Throttle cracker, throttle follower, and timing will be affected. Some vehicles will die or misbehave. Others might be OK with it. The pin should be grounded or supplied with 12 volts depending on your exact setup.
