4.8 with a LS1 computer and tune

I recently picked up a stock 4.8 and I already had a built LS1 harness and computer that has the rear O2's and VATS removed for a standalone install in my 78 monte carlo. My question is; would I have to worry about anything with this setup as far as injector pressure differences or MAF issues?

It will run but it won't be optimal. You should get it tuned at some point.

If you want your MAF to match the LS1 MAF frequency, knock the screen out of it.

Thanks. I just want to get it started. I got kind of a "frankenstein build" anyways. So if I pick up a LS1 MAF, that should help right?

De-screen the 4.8 MAF and it'll be close enough to the LS1 MAF that it won't you won't notice the difference.

It is far too easy to just copy/paste 4.8 parameters into your computer. If you are a tuning newbie, just do that and roll with a full factory tune (minus the deleted sensors). Otherwise, mod what you need and don't sweat it. Descreening a truck MAF can give erratic results that are better served being handled by someone with a little more tuning confidence.
